Jan Van Beveren
In February 2007, SSSC was proud to hire Jan Van Beveren as Director of Training. Jan (pronounced "Yawn") comes to us from the Dallas Texans Soccer Club, one of the top clubs in the country. Young players in our area have never had the opportunity to train with someone with Jan's experience and resume'. Jan has played, trained and coached at every level of soccer, including the international stage. A few of Jan's professional and training accomplishments are as follows:

Selected one of the top ten soccer players in the History of Dutch Professional Soccer
Selected to the "Soccer Team of the Century" in the Netherlands
NASL (US Pro Soccer) Player of the year
NASL Goalkeeper of the year Award (three times)
Teams Played For
Sparts Rotterdam (pro league in Europe)
PSV Eindhoven (one of the most well know professional teams in Europe)
Fort Lauderdale Strikers (NASL)
Dallas Sidekicks (MISL, pro US league in mid 80's)
Won the European Cup and Dutch Cup numerous times
Played for Dutch National Team

FC Dallas (MLS team in Dallas), Goalkeeper coach
SMU goalkeeper coach (with Matt Dillon)
Olympic Development Program Head Coach for North Texas that won National Championship
